Not long ago, it was announced that Mickey’s PhilharMagic at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will soon include a new scene featuring Disney and Pixar’s Coco! Disneyland’s version of Mickey’s PhilharMagic debuted the new Coco scene on July 17, and we knew Walt Disney World’s version would debut the scene later this year, though an exact date was not announced.
Now, however, as we inch closer to the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, we know exactly when Disney World Guests will be able to witness the update — and it’s closer than you may think!
Disney has just announced that Walt Disney World Guests will be able to witness the new Coco scene beginning on November 12 at Magic Kingdom!
In case you are not aware, the new scene will feature the musical number “Un Poco Loco” and, according to Disney Parks Blog, “the film’s fun, upbeat music and characters combined with the humor of Donald Duck marks the first time Disney and Pixar animators have worked on a creative endeavor where characters from both animation studios will be seen together on screen”.
In case you are not familiar with Mickey’s PhilharMagic, it is an incredible 3D adventure that stars some of our favorite classic Disney characters including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as they get ready to put on an incredible orchestra. However, Donald decides to put on Mickey’s sorcerer hat and things get a little out of hand.
Donald ends up going through some of the most beloved Disney animated films as he finds himself stuck right in the middle of some Disney classic song scenes. These include “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from The Lion King, “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, and more.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic is located at both Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida and in Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
Walt Disney World describes this attraction as:
Put on your 3D “opera glasses” and take a seat in the Concert Hall in front of the 150-foot-wide, 180-degree seamless wraparound screen.
As the lights dim, we find Donald Duck fast asleep. When he dons Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat and decides to try his hand at conducting the concert, he’s suddenly plunged into a 3D dream world of classic Disney animated musical sequences.
Classic Songs
Experience “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from The Lion King and “You Can Fly” from Peter Pan—plus many more—presented for the first time in stunning 3D.

This out-of-state Annual Passholder visits the parks as often as she can.
