Alliance Elks names its Sept. teens of the month – The-review

Alliance Elks Lodge 467 has announced its September Teenagers of the Month. The students are selected by their respective schools based on scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship and service to school and community. 
Alyssa Risley – The daughter of Brad and Kim Risley is a majorette, in orchestra and runs cross country. She is a member of Peer Pilot, Key Club, Drama Club and HOBY. Alyssa helps deliver supplies to the Homeless Shelter. She plans to attend college and obtain a degree in music.
Patrick Burse – The son of Brian and Lori Burse is on the swim team (YMCA, CCS, RACE, AHS), runs cross country and track, and is a member of band (marching, jazz, orchestra), choir (show, barbershop quartet, AHS Honors), and Canton Youth Symphony Advanced Orchestra. He is a member of National Honor Society, Peer Pilot, HOBY, Student Senate, and was a Buckeye Boys State delegate. He is a Boy Scout, class president, altar server at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a lifeguard. He plans to attend college and major in music while competing on the swim team.
Emily Kirby – The daughter of Tim and Erica Kirby plays soccer and is president of the senior class. She is a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Jo’s Girls and Hope Squad. She plans to attend John Carroll University and major in chemistry with plans to become a dentist.
Kael Mickley – The son of Daryl Mickley, he is on the soccer and track teams. He is a member of STEM Club, Science Club and is an Aultman Ambassador. Kael is a personal trainer for track. He plans to attend college and study nursing, with plans eventually  to become a CRNA.
Abigail Wheeler – The daughter of Jerry and Letecia Wheeler, she is a member of the volleyball, track and competition rifle teams. She is a member of FFA, International  Circle, Student Council and Repository Teen Board. She plans to attend college to pursue a degree in nursing while running track.
Garrett  Hilliard – The son of Chad and Nicole Hilliard is on the wrestling and football  teams. He is a member of Samurai Wrestling Club, Dungeons and Dragons Club, Chess Club, Pep Club, and International Circle. He plans to attend college and study environmental science while wrestling. 
Alexis Sabatino – The daughter of Todd and Janet Sabatino is a varsity cheerleader and was the 2020 Homecoming Duchess. She is a member of National Honor Society, Character Counts, Spanish National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ROX, Duke Street Singers and Marlington Chorale. She participates in Carnation City Players musicals. She plans to attend college and major in computer programming.
Walter Bungard – The son of Curtis and Carrie Bungard is a member of the football and track teams, and was the 2020 Homecoming Duke. He is president of National Honor Society and Rotary Interact Club, and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Spanish National Honor Society. Bungard volunteers at Alliance Friends Church. He plans to attend college and pursue a degree in chemical engineering. 
Devyn Reggi – The daughter of Jamie and Michelle Reggi plays volleyball, softball and basketball. She is a member of National Honor Society, SADD, Ecology Club, Spirit Crew, Language Club, Academic Team, and is class president. She plans to attend Cleveland State University and pursue a degree in physical or occupational therapy.
Jacob Wright – The son of David and Kristina Wright is an Eagle Scout (Troop 101) and was junior class vice president. He plans to attend Kent State University and become a high school English teacher. 
Heidi  Kaczynski – The daughter of Amy and Frank Kaczynski is a cheerleader, and on the golf, tennis and track and field teams. She is a member of Academic Challenge, Key Club and Culture Club. She plans to attend a Cincinnati-area university to study business or chemical engineering. 
Paul Walsh – The son of Patricia and Neil Walsh, he is on the cross country, track, soccer and basketball teams. He is a member of Key Club and Culture Club. He plans to attend college to study finance and marketing.
