If you are someone who wants to find a way to fight the Disney blues, a great way to do that is to bring a piece of the magic home with you.
For many, this means decorating your home to have touches of Disney, bringing home souvenirs from the theme parks, watching Disney movies, cooking your favorite copy-cat Disney recipes, and more! But, what if we told you there was a way that you can feel like your own home is Magic Kingdom?
Some small shops have begun creating MagicBand scanners so that Disney fans could actually feel like they were at the parks! All you have to do is scan your MagicBand and then the Mickey ring will light up and make the classic “approved” sound that we all know and love — but one shop has taken things to the next level.
Small shop owner Cinema Guy (@mycinema135) has created MagicBand scanners that are incredibly unique, and some that are smart powered! Below, you can see how the MagicBand scanner can be used as a light switch or switch for any power source as specific scanners come with a smart plug that links directly to your scanner.

As if that wasn’t cool enough, Disney fans can bring back Happily Ever After and Wishes with one of the many creations from Cinema Guy. Below is a MagicBand scanner that will play multiple renditions of both Happily Ever After and Wishes! You can actually listen to the announcement that reminded Guests Happily Ever After would begin in 10 minutes — and then listen to the stunning violin music that would play until the show starts, making it feel like you are sitting in the hub grass at Magic Kingdom all over again!
The astonishing thing about this scanner is that it has a screen that actually shoots out fireworks, so you can marvel at the stunning Cinderella Castle while the music and sounds delight your senses. With so many missing Happily Ever After now that Disney Enchantment has taken over, this scanner will not only make you feel the magic of the Disney Parks, but it will transport you back to one of Disney’s most magical firework shows to date.

I personally own this scanner and can say that it brings me to tears every time and is an instant hit whenever any of my Disney friends come over. It also shows the back of all of your favorite Disney characters watching the firework shows with you, which is the most magical Disney touch ever.
Plus, Cinema Guy doesn’t stop there! It seems that he is working on a Fantasmic! MagicBand scanner and has plenty of others from Pixar to Marvel to Star Wars and so many more. Below, you can take a look at the Soarin’ MagicBand scanner that has us wanting to run to EPCOT!

These MagicBand scanners honestly give Disney fans an immersive feeling like no other, and with Christmas around the corner, there has never been a better time to treat that Disney fan in your life or treat yourself!
The scanners are in a very reasonable price range considering how unique the technology is and how well-built the product is. Many scanners are priced at $199.00, which is a small price to pay to have literal Disney magic in your home, and some of the more jaw-dropping creations can range all the way up to $599.00.
The best thing about these MagicBand scanners is that the magic begins the moment you receive the box. Each box is equipped with a light-activated sensor, and the moment you open the scanner, the package will start playing classic Disney tunes, which will give you or your loved one an unexpected surprise like no other. I personally own multiple of these scanners and can say that even after numerous uses, the box still sings to me if I show it some light, and it never gets old.
After going through such a tough year, adding a little bit of magic to your home doesn’t sound like such a bad idea, does it? If you want to check out all of Cinema Guy’s creations, click here.¬†
What do you think of these MagicBand scanners? Would you want this in your own home?

Inside the Magic was created in 2005. What started as a tiny central Florida based website and short weekly podcast that provided our audience the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World virtually has grown to the publishing company it is today. We focus on bringing you all things fun so you can plan your theme park vacation, enjoy Disney at home, and more.
ITM now consists of multiple writers living near both Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks and around the world. This allows us to bring you the most interesting, entertaining, and unique entertainment experiences, covering theme parks, movies, TV, video games, special events and so much more.
